The Meeting of the Secretaries General of the European Union Parliaments shall be organized by the Spanish Senate and shall take place on January 29, 2024, in Madrid.
The Meeting of the Secretaries General of the European Union Parliaments (EUSG) is an annual forum attended by the Secretaries General of the National Parliaments of the European Union, the Secretary General of the European Parliament and by the Secretaries General of the Parliaments of candidate countries.
The aim of this meeting is to prepare the Conference of Speakers of the European Union Parliaments (EUSC) to be held at the Congress of Deputies in Madrid from April 21 to 23, 2024. During the Secretaries General Meeting, participants discuss the draft agenda for the Conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments and current topics related to the work of national Parliaments, including IPEX. Meetings of the Secretaries General are prepared and chaired by the Secretary General of the Parliament that holds the presidency of the Conference of Speakers.
